Leire resident wins £250 cash on Harborough Lotto
24 November 2021
On Saturday 20th November, Leire resident Sarah Statham won £250 cash on the Harborough Lotto draw. We caught up with Sarah in the week to congratulate her and asked the following:
Why are you supporting your chosen good cause?
Because I live in Leire and wanted to do what I could to contribute to raising funds for the area, especially as I have young children.
Where did you hear about the lottery?
A friend in the village encouraged the residents to join to raise funds for the local community.
What does winning mean to you?
It was a lovely surprise- I was made up! I don’t check my numbers usually so when I received an email I couldn’t believe it! I’ve won free goes on the lottery before but never this amount- definitely worth doing and good to know I’m doing some good!
Would you recommend others to sign up to the lottery and why?
Yes definitely, I think you stand a better chance of winning compared to the National Lottery and it’s great to know you’re supporting worth while causes at the same time.
Well done Sarah and thank you for your support.
Leire Parish Council are raising funds to re-new the playground equipment based on the playing field at Frolesworth Road, Leire. To also support them and be in with a chance of winning up to £25k. https://www.harboroughlotto.co.uk/support/leire-parish-council
